I found this quote searching for a new quote to update my Blog with and I came across this:
"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."
-St. Augustine
The Quote itself is from the movie Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
Recently, people around me or that I'm close to have had to stand tests and trials when it comes to their marriages with their spouse, they stand up to things that after quite awhile make things seem almost unimaginable. further more, I am surprised at the amount of people who set these relationships up for fail with their comments, as my friend said, commenting about what seems inevitable at that time, yet not commending people for their decision to work it out between each other.
There have been for sure times that I thought, our marriage was going to end, and since I am not much on going into personal history, as I do not know who reads my blog, the people who know me well enough know what trials my husband and I have had to face when it comes to our marriage.
I am over playing blame on who's fault those almost dissolution's were. they still happened, no matter whose fault it was. but I'm also glad that those things had happened to us, because it has made me stronger, it has made my husband stronger and it has made our marriage stronger because of it.
I've never been so sure of wanting to grow old with someone in my entire life. there is no one on this earth, who makes me feel the way that my husband makes me feel and I am incredibly blessed that he came into my life. we have given each other happy healthy children and a good life so far.
I know I am still young in my marriage and so my "In Love" feelings with my husband are still there. but I know in the future, when our children have left, our credits are paid off, and we have no more obligations to anyone but our marriage and each other. I know that we'll feel the way that this quote expresses. I have found my soul mate. the person I am going to spend my life with, through those thick and uttermost thin times and it's times like these, when some people are through turmoil, that it makes me cherish, the love my husband and I have for each other. I hope through the end of this tunnel we called life, there will be a tree, with our blossoms all around us and we are intertwined as one.

Blounts Disease and Lincoln.
So I think I've briefly mentioned that Lincoln has shown signs of bowing in his legs, and It was confirmed on Wednesday and then again on, Thursday, that it is incredibly pronounced. she mentioned that he could have a condition called Blounts Disease . I do have an unsuccessful video of Lincoln trying to run but the lighting is terrible.
So, at this point, a Doctor and a nurse have seen what the extent of my concerns are and have seen for themselves what it looks like when he runs, walks or stands still. they ordered X-ray basically of his legs and feet. let me tell you something, sitting in a radiology room, with a screaming 18 month old is not fun, and the whole time he is screaming, "Mommy, no!". I felt terrible, because, if this is Blounts Disease, that is only the beginning.
Basically, what happens is, when a child has Blounts disease, either too much weight is being put on the growth plate (which is not the case for Lincoln, he is only in the 75th percentile for Height and Weight, he is about 27 lbs and 33 inches tall, courtesy of his 18 Month well baby), but I was reading that in infants, it can happen when the child walks at an early age, which then causes a growth disorder of the tibia, and if left untreated, can end up like this or even worse. Lincoln is not at that point yet, thankfully.
They said the standard treatment for this is bracing, but sometimes it doesn't always work and then the next step is surgery, like what this person had done.
so I'm hoping and praying that this is not what it is and that he just has bowed legs, I don't want my baby to go through something like this, and that eventually one day he'll grow out of it or need special shoes. I guess we'll just have to wait until Tuesday.

The Story of the Very bad Dishwasher...
So Friday, I was running my dishwasher as usual. and I was talking on the phone with my cousin and I walked into the other room to get something or do something for my kids and I come back out and there is water ALL over the floor. so I cleaned everything up the best I could. well saturday, I noticed that the floor was beginning to swell. so I called the Insurance Company and let them know what was going on and the advised me to get a water restoration company out to see if they could dry out the flooring. so he came today with all of his cool gadgets to see where the water was and ended up pulling it up and found This:
So he told me I am definitely going to have to replace the flooring. he doesn't know if we can match up the old flooring and find the same stuff. unfortunately, we've lived here for 2 1/2 years and it's not very likely. so they are going to have to either replace the whole entire thing or figure something out that works.
and here is what it looks like about 40-45 minutes after it started drying with the big giant fans...
Fun, Huh?

Happiness
A friend of mine had a "god wants you to know" post on her facebook. and it completely made absolute sense to me. here it is:
"God wants you to know...... that happiness has nothing to do with pleasure.
You feel pleasure when you want something and you get it. Or when you don't want something and you remove it. Pleasure is always relative. Happiness is absolute. Happiness is the understanding and acceptance of life as it is in this very moment as completely perfect, because every creation of God is perfect. The degree to which you do not accept life in all of the Divine forms is the degree to which you suffer."
I don't have any other words, other than to remember that even though my days are hard and not of the norm, but despite all the imperfections in my life or in this day, I just need to stop and think, push all the bad back and think about what is absolutely perfect through the sticky Mess. I have a nice warm home to live in (even if I am afraid of a plane crashing into it ), Happy, Healthy Children, a Husband who loves me, A strong Marriage and an overall GREAT Life.
Scared of a Plane... Flying into my house...
I know this is ridiculous, but I can't help but blog about it.
Why, all of a sudden, am I petrified that a plane is going to come crashing into my house and obliterate this house??? I just hope to hell that my kids and I are not in it... whether it happens in a DREAM or In Real Life.
I can fly on a plane with no problem and not even think twice about it..... but I obsess sometimes over a plane crashing into my house. Like last night for instance...I was thinking about it and I was wondering if it were possible that, if Mr. Plane decided TO crash into my house that it miss my scrapbooking stuff, that whole general area, you know since I sleep in close proximity to my craft room and because I spent a lot of time and energy into said scrapbooking area and spent a lot of money that I probably shouldn't have on said scrapbooking stuff.
Sounds ridiculous?
Oh, it gets better!
I just heard a plane engine outside, in the sky, and I am FREAKING OUT. What. The. Heck? Did someone else's fears inhabit my brain lately? is it because since having children, I'm suddenly a hermit crab and am afraid if someone glances at me the wrong way, so why WOULDN'T I worry about a plane just randomly flying over my house and crashing into it? I mean I WORRY about someone breaking in, and stay up late most nights because I'm afraid they will...why not just add afraid of plane crashing into house in the mix!
I wonder if they have an actual phobia of that... I should look it up...
anyways, It could be the new's Articles I've seen before:
-Plane/House Crash #1
- Plane/House Crash #2
- Plane/ House Crash #3
- Plane/ House Crash #4
I mean, that is really like FOUR too many. Isn't that scary? maybe that is just me... I don't really know.
I might also be afraid because hello! I live in Alaska. A bird could like fly into the propeller and crash it and me being the lucky one would get a plane crashed into her house. I don't know, for all I know the subzero temperatures could freeze the engine in mid air and right at about where my house is, it will crash into it....
seriously, what is WRONG with me?! I know I am ridiculous. you don't even need to tell me...

Lots to Blog about.
It has been such a long time! lol. how many times have I posted that in other blog posts when my absence has been lengthy.. about 108430156897 times. :)
well as everyone knows. my family was here for awhile in July. and we had tons of things to do so I obviously have a million pictures as promised but I am only going to share a few that I really like and I don't think it's going to be in this post either. maybe tonight after my kids have gone to bed.
Michael will be home in 19 days, which is awesome! I can't wait. I really miss him. this has been a pretty difficult trial for myself as my kids have been less than stellar most days. but I'm alive, and so are they! thankfully.
Right now, our water tank is leaking and it is such a pain. I have to wait 11 hours on the phone with the Home warranty company because there is "high call volume", if I hear a company tell me they are having high call volumes on the phone one more time, I am going to vomit. Also, our dishwasher is leaking from the bottom... sometimes, I hate Appliances and I most definitely hate my house right now, and the dude who built it.
Our plan is five years for this house right now. that is what we're hoping for. I wrote out a list of what I hope we can accomplish with this house in five years. some are pretty big things and some are not. Obviously fixing the water tank and dishwasher are top priorities, that hopefully my Warranty Covers, if not, looks like I'll be calling the insurance company.
I guess we're doing a mini vacation when Michael comes home. so that will be nice. I think we're going to Seward and maybe Homer :) yay.
anyways. it's time for the vultures to eat. nothing like a clear sign that they are hungry when they start pulling stuff out of the fridge.
