So... I have been lazy in the Blogging department, the cleaning my house department, the college department, pretty much everything department except make sure my kids are clothed, fed, bathed, played with and put to sleep. I am trying to NOT be lazy but I am in a slump. It's the Holiday's I've been like this every year since we left.. I am a sucker for Family....and traditions and happiness and good times on Thanksgiving/Christmas.
But anyways. this is our floor. I ♥ it. Funny enough, My cousin Lisa and Adam put the same floor in in their new house.. :)
I think it looks cleaner, crisper and it goes with the house well. it's a little bit darker than it shows in the picture... but I do really love it.
Oh, and how STRANGE is it that the second time I take a picture of our living room. there is an orb, right above michaels head. NOT FUNNY orb. NOT FUNNY.
I have sworn off taking pictures of my living room....

Walmart Sucks...totally
I used to have this serious love affair with Wal-mart when I was a teenager. it was the most awesomest place to hang out with on the weeknights/weekends with friends. My BFF Joan can attest to that. as we spent most of our time driving her moms Shaggin' Wagon to Wal-mart. and it was a REAL treat if we could go to Wal-mart in Plattsburgh. That place is probably still awesome. I don't know. I haven't been there in like.... Three Years. I remember it, we had gone to Great Escape. so it WAS Four years cause it was 2005. wow.
but...here? in the arctic? HAHAHAH! I don't know what it is, but real jerky people with their heads far up their butts shop at the one here. they are the people who are not nice, they will ram your cart or stop DEAD in the middle of the aisle cause your son is standing there asking you for something, and you're all arguing with him, telling him no. and seriously. this lady, stopped completely DEAD, gives me this look, cause Cole and I are debating about him not getting paper plates, and I usher Cole out of the way and she's like "THANKS, Have a GREAT DAY!" and stomps off. I was just standing there like... "What the Hell?" and I kind of gave her a similar look. he's three. he is in his own world. he is not going to put two and two together because you sit there hemming and hawwing about my son standing in your way, thank god he has me in his life to save him from awkward moments with strange people.
and why is it... that on THE BUSIEST days of the week. there are like THREE lanes open with some of THE slowest Cashiers I have ever seen?? why? WHY? on those days I just pray I don't have produce so I can go check out at the Jewlery counter.
Also, why do they have people who can't speak very good english manning the phones at these places. I called to inquire about Christmas Gifts that my parents wanted to get but didn't know if they were available here. Our Conversation went something like this:
Dude( in some form of inaudible english):" Hello, Toy Department, How can I help you?" ( I think)
Me: "Hi, I am looking for this toy and was curious if your store carried it. The Store here doesn't."
Dude: "what is the item?"
Me: "It's the Battery Powered Ride on with Lightning McQueen on it. like those cool 4-wheelers but it's Lightning McQueen. it's Red. I have the Item number if you'd like to enter it in. to make it easier."
Dude: (totally ignores my comment about the Item Number) "let me go check the area with those types of toys, okay? I be right back"
Me: "ok"
(waits for what seems like FOREVER)
Dude: "I don't know what exactly you are talking about. Is it like Remote Control?"
Me: "No, It is a ride on. like the big jeeps you guys have with the 6 Volt batteries. like that but it's Lightning McQueen. I can give you the item number if you want?"
Dude: "so little kids can ride on it, right"
Me: "Yes, Sir. I have the item number, would you like it?"
Dude: "let me look out back for it and ask someone else if they know what this is"
Me " ok, but wouldn't it be easier to just enter in the item number and look for it that way"
Dude: " hold on fer a minute please"
Me: "sure"
Dude: "what is the item number?"
Me: *gives Item Number*
Dude: "I have nothing showing up. can I take your number and call you back"
Me: "sure"
He never called me back, by the way.
it doesn't matter. I went there the next day and was looking. SERIOUSLY I talked to the Toy Manager she found FOUR. FOUR. but they were lost somewhere because of their new shipment. so then I had to go to the Walmart in Eagle River and they had TWO! Thankfully.
I've had many happenings like this....one similar with the sandbox issue and another with the home broom and dustpan toy.. WHICH they still have no clue if they are getting them in or not!!!!
Ugh...it is I HATE walmart day.
Oh! it was awesome, cause the guy who did the work on my floor was telling me that he had a shirt made that said " WALMART: Because you can never have enough S%^T from China!"
I almost died laughing when he told me that. almost.
at least it wasn't one of those automated people on the phone....God knows I've yelled at that annoying piece of snotty automated voice a time or two.

Life is so funny..
It is... I mean, Really. it is.
Michael and I have thrown around where we want to live if we decide that Living in Alaska just doesn't suit us anymore. I don't know if that will happen for a long time. I'm meaning like when the boys are 7 and 8. we need to desperately pay off bills before we do any such thing, as moving from here, we'd take a HUGE pay cut. and we can't afford that right now.
I know Michael has been looking at jobs. but then again. he always is. I'm not sure we'll ever quite know where we want to stay indefinitely.
Obviously, with the way the economy in Vermont is going, there is no way we're ever going to be able to live there in the nearest future. unfortunate for myself and my Family. but we haven't crossed off other places on the east coast. I wouldn't mind Maine, but Michael said there is no jobs there. I also wouldn't Mind Massachusetts or New Hampshire. Honestly. if I could see my family, I would even consider living in NY and I don't LIKE new york. at all.
Honestly, if I would want to settle anywhere it would probably be Colorado. Colorado is gorgeos and it's a lot like both Alaska and Vermont. Best of Both Worlds. and if we were to live where there is an air force base. I would be 11 hours and 7 hours from two of my best chick friends. we've been trying to get together and have a girls weekend for the upside of like a year and a half now or whatever and it hasn't happened. if we did that. I could!.
It's amusing that my motivations for wanting to live in Colorado are because of two of my best girl friends I have. LOL. I could fly to Reno for 280.00. How AWESOME is that? I can't even get a ticket under 500 dollars from here to Reno. it would be easier for us to do Vacations as well. like...we can DO vacations here to like Seward and Homer and stuff but... how many times can you do something like that before it is just the same? Also, we could fly home for 416 dollars Each...... it's like 700 a piece to fly home from Anchorage to Vermont.
Ah... Decisions, Decisions..... we see where my motivations are... I even found a house I like in Colorado LOL... what else am I supposed to do while the kids are napping and the chores are done?

Family Pictures...
These are the Family pictures we got on Saturday. My friend Sarah took them. she did a pretty awesome job for being an amateur photographer :)
My kids make Amazing Faces huh?
Well there it is. a Family Photo. Oh, how I have waited for one as cute as this. maybe next year. there will be no funny faces lol.
So we did it....
So aside from me being absent from blogging, I have no excuse, I just didn't really have much to update other than spamming my blog with a billion pictures I've taken, and I didn't have much else to say. so, Tonight, I cut Lincolns Hair. and I cried the entire time I did it. it was getting very tangled and broken in the back and needed to be cut to refresh the strands there. there was just no way around it. it had to be done. and I hate it. he looks like a whole different kid and it's just not cool. to me.
Before The Hair Massacre:
After:
I know he looks all Handsome and boyish and stuff... but now he looks like a smaller, slightly chubbier Version of Cole. I know that's not a bad thing. but his hair was what set him apart.
At least this doesn't have to happen anymore:
Random Person: Oh Look at her! How beautiful is she?!
Me: Actually, That she is a He. He's a boy.
Random Person: Oh! it's so hard to tell at that Age!
tell me. how is it hard to tell when he is obviously Clad in boy clothes. I wouldn't put my girl in Boy clothes. Sorry to say. I know some do. but not this chick. if we ever are graced with a little girl. she will wear GIRL clothes. and not boy clothes.
anyways at LEAST that conversation can be avoided now....
