People Passing Away Really Gets to me.

So, No, I am not talking about Patrick Swayze. Even though, I was incredibly sad to hear about HIS passing as well. I can't Imagine that Pancreatic Cancer would leave you anything but suffering. How extremely sad and painful his last year or two of life must have been.

but no. My Uncle Lee Passed Away on the 16th of September. he was probably one of my most favorite great Uncles. he was funny and he had an awesome way of telling stories and being so real about stuff. He had a really nice tone to his voice. and I know you're probably wondering why there is a picture of a TY horse on this blog and there is a good reason for it.

For as long as I can remember, I mean, I must have been about Six or Seven. My Uncle Lee always told me that he would get me a pony. Every time my family had a get together at my Nana G's Camp, I would always hang around him and listen to him talk and tell stories. and every single time, without fail, he would say, "One day, I am going to get you a Pony".

About Two weeks before my 18th Birthday, I was talking to my grandmother about My Uncle Lee and Aunt Bev, I was about 8 weeks pregnant with Cole at the time, and I said " You Know, Uncle Lee never got me that Pony he promised me", and my grandmother Laughed.

Two weeks Later on my birthday, there was a birthday present from My Aunt Bev and Uncle Lee, which is unusual, they don't usually give gifts on Birthdays, to anyone, but maybe my grandparents. and I opened it and there was my pony. it may not have been the big giant pony I was thinking of, but it still touched me, that he finally, after 12 years, gave me the pony he has always promised me as a little girl.

So, The morning that he passed, my dad called me early, to tell me. My Grandmother, I guess was worried about my reaction to this news. I was incredibly sad. he was 72 years old, and he was unwell, but it's hard to imagine people that you love passing. he was a such a Sweet Man, and I feel sad, that the last time I saw him, I was in the Hospital with Lincoln. so when I found out, I got the pony down from it's place on my Hutch Dresser and just held onto it for a little while and then I put it back, and told Michael that if he ever accidentally threw it away or let the kids play with it, I would be incredibly upset and want to kick his butt. it has been on my dresser since the day I got it, and now it's there as a form of remembrance.

I Love You, Uncle Lee. May you rest in peace.
