You're Lucky that wasn't my two year old, Dude

So, A few days ago, My friend, Rachel, sent me a Link regarding a 61 year old man who slapped a TWO year old in a Georgia Walmart for Crying.

there was a blog featured on the side titled "the slap heard around the world" and I could not BELIEVE the comments that were posted condoning what this man did.

The Article states that he had warned the lady to begin with. Who ignores someone when they threaten to "shut your child up"? I mean honestly? and then how did this man get close enough to this kid to actually physically SLAP her?

let me just say....

If it was my kid, OVER MY DEAD BODY, under no circumstances would this guy have gotten even close enough to my child to do this before my crazy cougar mother instincts kicked in and I whooped his ass for even thinking it was okay.

I don't usually swear on my blog but this really ticks me off. and what makes me mad more than that is there are more people out there who would do this to a child or moreso, thinks that what this man did was justified.

I noticed a few comments on their stating that the girl should have left with her daughter, while I agree, as I have done and will continue to do so when my kids are acting like heathens, sometimes, you just CAN'T leave.

Some people have children who when they walk into a store, just something switches on and they act like an animal, and others are good, but then get bored and start acting out. I've gone to a grocery store before and had cole FLIP out because I made him walk and he didn't want to. I had a ton of groceries in my cart. I wasn't going to leave it out, possibly make the food go bad and have to make someone put it away.

my point is. Kids are just kids. it's hard to work around their schedule. they are going to throw a tantrum if you look at them wrong sometimes, and they are going to act out at a grocery store especially if you don't let them have what they want. and sometimes, you can leave without having to leave perishables behind and other times you just need food, what makes a difference is if she is throwing a tantrum now over shopping or later when you try. it wouldn't make a difference. kids are JUST kids. as I said.

It's kind of scary that if this man could lose it over a little girl crying in a store, what he would do if an adult made him mad. regardless, it's pretty low to take your anger out on a strangers kid.

and as I said. if I had been that mother, over my dead body.
